St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish Stewardship

Faith In Action Week a Success

As our parish continually grows and changes we reach out to all to lend your time, talents and treasure to our Stewardship initiative. We seek to be guided by the Holy Spirit to discern how each one of us may fill one of the many needs of our parish.

All of us are being asked to participate in a week of service to the parish. For you who are already a ministry member, for example, ushers, lectors, or choir, attending the sessions will be a celebration of your service and recommitment to your calling.

For others, have you considered becoming an active part of one of the liturgical ministries but are not sure where is the right use of your talents? Then sign-up for one or more of the gatherings where you can meet and learn from those already involved: what is it all about, what do I have to do to join, how am I trained, etc.

Do you have a heart for babies, children, or perhaps engaged couples? Come see if the Lord is calling you as minister in our Baptism prep, Marriage prep or Children's Liturgy of the Word programs.

Not ready for an ongoing commitment, could you dedicate an evening or two to the one-time projects that require an "army" of volunteers? Bring your children, your parents, your grandparents; all ages can lend a hand.  Check the schedule below.

By attending various events this week we hope you will come to a deeper understanding of the people, ministries and needs of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Parish. We know that God will bless your efforts and may show you a path to continued service to the Body of Christ. Adding your name to this form does NOT constitute a long-term commitment. Following attendance at any session you will be free to discern if you are being called to participate further.

This Interest Form will be distributed at all Masses, the weekend of April 22nd and 23rd or download the form HERE.  Guided by the Holy Spirit, parishioners will be encouraged to prayerfully consider their families' members participation and then place the completed form in the collection basket. Anyone not able to complete a form at that time may return a copy to the parish office up to the day of the event.  If you were unable to do even that just show up.

A Prayer for Service Selection Process

God our Maker, thank you for adopting us as your children and inviting us into the work of building your kingdom on earth as it is in heaven. As we consider what that means today, fill us with your Spirit. Guide our thoughts and conversations, and lead us into a deeper knowledge of who you are, and who you will have us be. In Jesus' name, Amen
